Extreme Blood Drive - Great Success!

The theme for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s 7th season is “Get on the Bus” suggesting everyone in the community get involved with giving back. That’s just what Jason Hedrick, Hedrick Creative Building, builder for the project coming to the Triad area on November 11- 17 is asking everyone to do. Give back to the Community.
In conjunction with the home building project an “Extreme Blood Drive” was held with the American Red Cross on Sunday, November 8 at Reeds Baptist Church in Lexington (www.reedsbaptistchurch.com). Jason was on site to make the first donation and encouraged and thanked donors for their support of this lifesaving community service. The American Red Cross requested 30 pints for the drive but ended up with a total of 48. Thanks to the Red Cross staff for helping organize this event with such short notice!
On the home build site, can food will be accepted for the local food bank. All volunteers and spectators are asked to contribute at least one can of food each day of arriving to the site. The number of families and individuals needing groceries from food banks is rapidly increasing. The need is also growing for pet food; donations will be accepted on site as well.
Please join Jason Hedrick and his team as we give back to our community and invite you to do the do the same. “Get on the Bus”.
